Jen Comfort, owner and designer of She Takes The Cake™, began this exciting sugar adventure when an average cake just wouldn’t do for a personal event.

Starting out with birthday cakes for a small local clientele, Jen now creates some of the most delicious and exclusive wedding and specialty event cakes in Central New York.
Located in beautiful Chenango County and working out of her dedicated licensed studio, Jen’s sought after cakes are delivered wherever a client wants and requires her services.

A limited number of commissions are accepted for as far away as the NY Metro area, but the most often delivered to areas are:Hamilton, Syracuse, Skaneateles, Oswego, and Alexandria Bay, Utica, Oneida, Cazenovia, Canastota, Norwich, Sherrill, Liverpool, Baldwinsville, Manlius, and Fayetteville.
Instead of a traditional background of formal culinary training, this ‘self-taught’ cake artist is driven by passion and utilizes her background in graphic arts and experience with design and layout as the foundation of her work. Jen’s passion is fed by the design and execution of incredibly delicious cakes that clients are unlikely to find anywhere else in the area.

Early in 2008, Jen launched Sweet Talk Boutique with uber talented Erin Nowak, of Bride Design, also located in Central New York. Erin’s custom hand made sationery and invitation suites are truly unique and her skills and love for all things wedding is evident in everything she does. Erin brings the pen and paper to Jen’s butter and sugar in the online store where goodies featuring Erin’s unique illustrations and Jen’s fabulous cookies range from edible branding and cookie greeting cards to fun, unique gifts that are baked fresh and shipped nationwide.
